Game Tsunami Launched
GameTsunami is a blog focused on translating Japanese video game news into English.
Game Tsunami has been up for a few days now, but I figured it’s never too late to write a launch post.
Game Tsunami is a project that I came up with to help me with my Japanese studies. I want to be a translator in the future, so I figured:
- I had better improve my Japanese skills.
- I had better get some experience translating.
- Why not have fun doing it?
So, GameTsunami.com was born. GameTsunami is a blog focused on translating Japanese video game news into English. I will pull articles from game magazines, game websites, news websites and translate them.
My goal right now is to do an article a day. Sometimes I will follow a game closely, translating every article I can get my hands on (Dragon Quest IX). Other times I will just pick a random game and translate a single article about it. In this way I hope to get a good mix and give readers a nice overall feel for the kinds of games coming out in Japan.
